- Neurology registrar
Overview
I qualified in medicine with distinction from Imperial College London, completed my junior doctor duties in South West England, and then joined the Oxford neurology registrar training programme.
My DPhil hypothesis is that the different clinical patterns amongst people with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) represent biochemical subgroups, which I look for using machine learning on data from patients' cerebrospinal fluid and blood samples.
Separating out ALS subgroups could advance our mechanistic understanding of this disease/s, identify biomarkers, stratify patients, enrich trials, and better detect potential treatments.
