Mathematical Modeller
Georgia is a mathematical modeller specialising in brain modelling and the effects of potential Alzheimer's disease treatments, with a focus on elucidating the role of sortilin-mediated progranulin-related pathways in neurodegenerative diseases. She completed her DPhil and subsequent postdoctoral research on modelling clearance and proteopathy in Alzheimer's disease, where she developed and analysed the first mathematical network models incorporating dynamic clearance mechanisms, which she used to explore and evaluate potential therapeutic approaches.
