Jack Williams

Research Assistant

Jack joined the Fowler Lab as a Research Assistant in April 2024. His work focuses on using CRISPR genome editing in induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) to develop a cellular model of tauopathy. These models will be used to investigate the mechanisms underlying tau assembly and propagation.

Before joining the Fowler Lab, in 2018 Jack earned a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Imperial College London. After graduating he worked in the biotechnology industry, initially developing CRISPR-edited cell lines and later focusing on the design of synthetic, cell type–specific promoters for gene therapy applications.
