Peter is an Information Governance Officer working for the GSK Institute of Molecular and Computational Medicine (IMCM) and NDM Strategy, based in the Wellcome Centre for Human Genetics.

Peter works to deliver governance, risk and compliance management across information governance activities, including addressing data privacy and information security matters in support of his units.

From an academic grounding in philosophy (focusing on political identity, nationalism and cosmopolitanism), Peter made the logical transition to working in database development and software quality assurance within the competency management industry. From there he branched out into information security management and governance, mostly around delivering ISO27001 certified Information Security Management Systems. More recently Peter spent two years working as an Information and Knowledge Specialist for Nuclear Waste Services, supporting long-term knowledge transfer activities associated with the creation of a geological disposal facility for Britain’s high-level nuclear waste.
